
Los Angeles Based Ceramics


Ceramics is a material par excellence for speaker enclosures. The properties of ceramics allow sound waves to spring from their surface, maintaining as much detail as possible. This unique, double-walled, horn design, projects sound with low distortion and high efficiency.
Ceramics has long been associated with lighting due to its insulative properties. Using this fact as a foundation, I explore other facets of ceramics that result in unique lighting features.

Object making has remained a priority in my practice as an artist. The objects I make are pieces of vocabulary that allow me to expand the lexicon of my work. These small containers of the mind serve only one function: to spark curiosity.
Making ceramic furniture affords me the opportunity to work in large scale and explore facets of architectural ceramics. Each design is high-fired in a gas kiln to ensure durability and can be used in food service due to their non-porous properties.
